Howzit just want to introduce myself to this forum. I am currently living in Hawaii island of Oahu. I been a long time lurker and this will be my second post. This forum has to be the most complete message board I have ever came across. I purchased a 1990 TT with a spun bearing around Christmas time of last year for 1500 dollars. Initially I wanted to just do a motor swap but yeah right! I keep running into problems the previous owner FUCT up. There is a long list of things I wont get into. I had no idea this car could consume my life...in a good way (my GF would argue that). So far I pulled the motor, trans, interior, fenders and just finished degreasing the engine bay. Today I pulled the Hicas hoses and actuator, clutch master, brake booster. It took me 8 hours WTF. I was previously a aviation mechanic and avionic technician and this car is harder to work on than Aircraft. Search is my friend and I am amazed I haven't had to ask any questions because it has been done already. Anyway I hope to contribute something to this community for how much it helped me so far...Thanks
